About us
One breath, one ocean
Freedive Sulawesi is a small freediving school in Bira, South Sulawesi, with coral restoration at its core.
Our story
A school with a purpose
We're a global community of passionate divers and conservationists who share a deep love for the ocean. We feel lucky to meet inspiring people in our school every week, from whom we learn every day.
One of the most important lessons we've learned is that we are all a work in progress, which is why open minds and open hearts are at the core of a successful stay with us. With a positive attitude, a hunger to learn, mutual respect, and open communication, you'll wake up at the end of your trip wishing you had a few more weeks.

Why Freediving
Freediving is the purest way to meet the ocean: one breath, no bubbles, just you and the blue. It builds calm, focus and body awareness while opening up a quiet, intimate underwater world that scuba simply can't reach. Beginners are welcome, every dive is supervised, and progress is measured in confidence, not depth.

Yoga & Breathwork
Our breathwork and yoga sessions are designed to make you a calmer, stronger, more capable diver. We train lung flexibility, CO2 tolerance, and the ability to relax under pressure, then we carry that calm into the water. Suitable for every level, and just as useful on dry land as it is at depth.

Coral Restoration
Every course and fun dive contributes to active coral restoration in Bira. You'll receive an introduction to coral biology, help maintain our nurseries, and dive over coral gardens we've already brought back to life. It's freediving with a purpose: leaving the reef healthier than you found it.
